City At Night (1949)
Episode of "City at Night," TV magazine show, hosted by Keith Hetherington and Dorothy Gardiner. Traveling to a different and unannounced location of interest every week, the program here presents a "live," behind-the-scenes look at the shooting of the film "Destination Moon". "Based on information discussed within the program and program schedules published in the Los Angeles Times," someone on the Internet has "deduced that it was telecast on October 11, 1949."

1940's TV: ''Howdy Doody'' from 1949
An 1940's episode of "Howdy Doody", I think this is from March 1949. This episode is complete with NBC-TV Promo, and two NBC-TV IDs. This program features music, comedy, and the infamous "re-purposed" silent film clip. All of this adds up to an entertaining half hour.

''Make Mine Music'' - Misc episode
A late-1940s music TV series which aired in a 15-minute time-slot. Lots of songs. Most people will find this boring, but I find it charming. May also be an early example of an electric guitar appearing on TV (am I correct?). This aired live. Note: my usual DVD ripper wouldn't rip this properly, so I had to use an inferior ripper. Picture quality is below my usual standards. This aired without a copyright notice, so I expect it is public domain, though the songs performed are still copyrighted.
